Arta
Built on the edge of the hill of Peranthi, on the banks of the Arachthos river (from which ancient Amvrakia was irrigated), Arta is inextricably linked to its famous bridge. The legend wants the master craftsman's wife built into its foundation to solidify.
Capital, transport hub, and the commercial and administrative center of the Prefecture of the same name, the city of Arta today is scattered with antiquities, full of life, with pleasant sidewalks, modern shops, cafes, and bars.
