Overview
The Archaeological Site of Nikopolis is an amazing place to explore, covering a large area with treasures from the past. This site was built to celebrate the great victory of Augustus against Mark Antony and Cleopatra in 31 BC and was a flourishing Roman city.
Visitors can marvel at impressive mosaics, Roman walls, a theater, a conservatory, a nymphaeum, Roman baths, houses, and the famous Monument of the victory of Augustus at Actium.
