Overview
The Archaeological Site of Nikopolis is an amazing place to explore, covering a large area with treasures from the past. This site was built to celebrate the great victory of Augustus against Mark Antony and Cleopatra in 31 BC and was a flourishing Roman city.
Visitors can marvel at impressive mosaics, Roman walls, a theater, a conservatory, a nymphaeum, Roman baths, houses, and the famous Monument of the victory of Augustus at Actium. Additionally, the site also showcases the influence of Christianity, the life of the stoic philosopher Epictetus, and takes visitors on a magical journey to the city of Nike.
